Lauren and Tommy’s wedding at the Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria in Sheffield was one of those days that felt full of excitement from the very beginning. After dreaming about this day for years, Lauren had thought through every little detail so carefully, and it all came together so beautifully in the most effortless way.

As a Sheffield wedding photographer, weddings at the Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria are always such a pleasure to capture. The venue has such a timeless feel to it, with elegant interiors, beautiful character and the perfect balance between classic romance and relaxed celebration. Lauren and Tommy’s spring wedding suited the venue perfectly.

Their indoor ceremony felt so warm and emotional, especially during what felt like a rare one day English heatwave in April. The atmosphere throughout the entire day was calm, happy and filled with so much love from everyone around them. You could really feel just how excited they both were to finally have the day they had spent so long imagining.

One of the things I loved most about Lauren and Tommy’s wedding was how personal the entire day felt. You could tell so much thought, time and love had gone into every detail Lauren had planned over the years, but nothing ever felt too much or overly staged. Everything reflected them so naturally, from the atmosphere of the day to the way everyone interacted around them. It felt elegant and beautifully put together while still feeling relaxed, emotional and genuinely full of joy from beginning to end.

As the evening arrived and the celebrations became even more relaxed, we headed outside for some champagne spray photos with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. These ended up being some of my favourite moments from the whole wedding. Everyone was laughing, cheering each other on and completely in the moment, which made the photographs feel so full of energy and emotion.

As a Yorkshire wedding photographer, these are always the moments I love documenting most. The in-between laughter, the movement, the atmosphere and the memories that naturally unfold throughout the day. Lauren and Tommy’s wedding felt elegant and timeless while still being full of fun from beginning to end.
