Hodsock Priory Wedding Photographer | Mollie & Joe’s Spring Wedding in Worksop
Mollie and Joe’s wedding at Hodsock Priory in Worksop was the kind of day that felt effortlessly beautiful from beginning to end. With over 30 degree heat, soft pink tones, wildflower bouquets and the most thoughtfully planned details throughout, their wedding had the perfect balance of luxury styling and relaxed, joyful moments.
As a Sheffield wedding photographer, Hodsock Priory is always such a dream venue to photograph. The elegant interiors, stunning gardens and timeless character make it perfect for couples wanting a romantic, editorial feel to their wedding photos while still keeping the day warm, personal and natural.
From the moment I arrived, it was obvious how much thought Mollie had poured into every part of the day. Every detail felt intentional and beautifully tied together without ever feeling overdone. The soft blush bridesmaid dresses paired perfectly with the incredible wildflower bouquets, which completely suited the romantic spring setting at Hodsock Priory. Their indoor ceremony was full of emotion and felt so intimate despite the heat outside. Hodsock Priory’s ceremony spaces photograph beautifully in every season, but there was something especially lovely about stepping out afterwards into the sunshine and seeing everyone instantly relax into the warm May afternoon.
Because the weather was so incredible, so much of the wedding naturally flowed outdoors. Guests spent the afternoon enjoying the grounds, drinks in hand, soaking up the sunshine while the atmosphere felt calm, elegant and genuinely happy all day long.
One of my favourite parts of the day was taking Mollie and Joe around the grounds in the golf buggy for their couple portraits. It gave us the chance to explore more of Hodsock Priory’s beautiful scenery while also giving them a little bit of quiet time together away from the guests. The combination of the golden evening light, the historic gardens and the soft spring colours made every photograph feel effortlessly editorial and timeless.
As a Yorkshire wedding photographer, these are the kinds of weddings I absolutely love capturing. Nothing felt forced or overly posed throughout the day. Instead, the focus was on preserving the atmosphere exactly as it felt, the emotion, the movement, the details and all of the in-between moments that made the day uniquely theirs.
Mollie and Joe created such a beautiful celebration at Hodsock Priory, full of warmth, elegance and so much love from everyone around them. It was such a pleasure to photograph and one I won’t forget anytime soon.
If you’re planning your own wedding at Hodsock Priory and are looking for a Sheffield wedding photographer to capture your day in a natural, heartfelt and editorial style, I’d absolutely love to hear from you.
