Karis and Jacob’s summer wedding at Whirlow Brook Hall in Sheffield was such a beautiful day, centred around the love they share and celebrating their marriage with the people closest to them. The connection between these two was so lovely to photograph and is something you can see so clearly throughout their wedding photos.

As a Sheffield wedding photographer, Whirlow Brook Hall is always such a beautiful venue to return to. Set within acres of picturesque parkland and surrounded by greenery, it gives you the feeling of escaping into the countryside while still being right here in Sheffield.

For Karis and Jacob, who both love hiking and spending time outdoors, it couldn't have been a more fitting place to get married. Their summer wedding made the most of everything Whirlow Brook Hall has to offer, from its elegant interiors to the beautiful gardens and surrounding woodland. The greenery provided such a gorgeous backdrop for their photographs and perfectly complemented the relaxed, romantic feel of their day.

What stood out to me most was simply the way Karis and Jacob were together. There was such an effortless connection between them, and some of my favourite photographs came from those quiet little moments where they could forget about the camera and just enjoy being newly married. The smiles, the laughter and the way they naturally looked at each other really tell the story of their relationship without anything needing to be forced or overly posed.

Their love of the outdoors made exploring the grounds for their couple photographs feel even more personal to them. Whirlow Brook Hall is such a wonderful Sheffield wedding venue for couples who love nature, with so many beautiful spots tucked throughout the gardens and parkland for natural wedding photography.

The whole day had such a warm and relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by family and friends who were clearly so happy to be celebrating alongside them. It was one of those weddings where the photographs really speak for themselves, full of genuine emotion, natural interactions and all the little moments happening in between.

As a Yorkshire wedding photographer, this is exactly how I love to capture a wedding day. Rather than turning it into a photoshoot, I want couples to enjoy their wedding while I document the real moments and emotions as they naturally happen.
