Amanda and Sam’s August wedding at Whitley Hall Hotel in Sheffield was such a fun, laid-back day, filled with laughter, family and plenty of celebrations. After years together, their wedding was all about finally tying the knot, bringing their families together and having the best time doing it!

Their outdoor ceremony took place in the beautiful grounds of Whitley Hall Hotel, with soft, cloudy skies giving us some of the loveliest light for photographs. As a Sheffield wedding photographer, I always appreciate a little cloud cover! The bridesmaids looked gorgeous in sage green, which complemented the greenery surrounding the venue perfectly.

Amanda and Sam were such a laugh throughout the day. They were constantly laughing with each other, joking around and simply enjoying every moment. Amanda in particular was the definition of a laid-back bride, completely living her best life and soaking up every second of her wedding day!

One thing I loved about their wedding was how little they wanted to spend time having posed photographs taken. They were far more interested in being with their guests and enjoying the celebrations, which meant I spent most of my time wandering around capturing all those lovely candid moments happening naturally.

Of course, I couldn't let them get away without a few photographs of the newly weds! We managed to sneak away for a few photos around the gorgeous grounds of Whitley Hall Hotel before they headed straight back to the fun.

With its beautiful gardens and characterful surroundings, Whitley Hall Hotel is such a lovely Sheffield wedding venue, particularly for couples wanting a relaxed countryside feel without travelling far from the city.

Amanda and Sam’s wedding was a perfect example of why I love documentary-style wedding photography. From the laughter and unexpected moments to their families celebrating together, their photographs tell the story of a couple who genuinely had the best day.
